Guide overview

What event disruptions can mean for a market, and why the settlement rule is more important than the label on a fixture card.

Different disruption, different rule

A postponed event may be rescheduled, while an abandoned event has started but did not finish. A void market may return the stake, but a related market could already have been decided. Operators can set deadlines or minimum-play requirements in their published rules.

Check the market-specific wording

A match-winner market, first-goal market and player-stat market can be treated differently after a disruption. A two-leg tie or tournament may also continue elsewhere. Avoid applying a single general rule to every selection on a ticket.

Keep a record

If a fixture changes, save the event name, market, selection and rule text shown at the time. Use the operator’s help channel for an individual settlement question. A screenshot of a live card is not a substitute for the written market terms.
