A session can run longer than expected when rounds are quick or when a live event is close. Tracking only the balance misses the time cost: sleep, work, meals and relationships can also be affected.
Set an alarm before you open a game and write down the start time, intended end time and spending ceiling. Leave the screen when the timer rings, even if a feature seems close or a match is still live. An external cue helps interrupt the loop.
Compare planned time and money with what actually happened. If you repeatedly exceed your boundary, take a longer break and seek support rather than making the limit larger. Tracking is for awareness, not a way to optimize more gambling.
