A wild symbol may stand in for other symbols to complete a winning combination, but a game can limit where it appears or which symbols it replaces. Some wilds expand, move, multiply or remain in place during a feature. The paytable defines the exact behavior.
Scatter symbols may award a bonus based on how many appear, regardless of a standard payline. Some games require scatters on particular reels or use a separate trigger rule. A bonus can add spins, open a pick feature or provide another game mode.
The same icon style can have different functions from one game to another. Read the title’s rules before play and check whether a bonus feature has separate stakes or conditions. A near miss does not make the next trigger more likely.
