Guide overview
Use recent results carefully by looking at sample size, opponent strength and the match details behind a form line.

A five-match form sequence can be useful as a quick description, but it is a small sample. A deflection, late penalty or red card may change a result without changing the underlying performance as much as the score suggests. A winning streak does not make the next win due.
Check opponents, venue, injuries, rest days and competition. A team’s clean sheets against weaker opposition may not transfer to a different matchup. For sports with multiple competitions, distinguish league games from cup ties or friendlies when the format and incentives differ.
Describe what happened before making any inference about what could happen next. Avoid turning a form graphic into a certainty claim. If the available evidence is thin or mixed, say so; uncertainty is part of an honest preview.
