Guide overview
A repeatable checklist for comparing sports prices while controlling for market, period and settlement differences.
Match the proposition first
Compare the same event, participant, market and settlement period. A price on a team to win in regulation time is not equivalent to a price that includes extra time. The same label can also hide differences in handicap line, tie treatment or void rules.
Record the quote and time
Prices change. A useful comparison records the displayed number, the time checked and whether the market was pre-match or live. Without that context, a later screenshot can create a misleading impression that two quotes were simultaneously available.
Price is not a prediction
A more favorable price on one selection does not establish that it will happen. It only changes the return conditional on a settled win. Do not compare prices by looking at potential payouts alone; check the stake, rules, margin and other outcomes too.
